Nursing Central is a mobile app that is required by many nursing classes at UNB. Please use these instructions to setup and download the app on your device.

Registration

Before you download the app to your device you must create your account with Unbound Medicine on a computer. You can start this by clicking this link: Unbound Medicine. Click on the button that says Register Now.


You will now create your own username and password and fill out various other information fields required by the software.


NOTE: You may want to use your UNB login id for the username as we have seen a number of “this username is already in use” errors when trying to create unique usernames.


An email will then be sent to the email address you had provided with confirmation of account creation and a serial number (may be required for activation).

Download Instructions

You can now download the app to your device. Nursing students and faculty must be on campus in order to download the application. Please find instructions for various types of devices below.


Apple Devices (iOS)

  • Make sure you are connected to myUNB WiFi.
  • Go to the App Store
  • Search for Nursing Central (make sure the developer is Unbound Medicine).
  • Select Nursing Central, tap FREE, then tap INSTALL.
  • You be asked to log in to the App Store (your Apple ID password).
  • Nursing Central will then be installed.
  • Launch the app and log in with your Unbound Medicine account (the one you created at the beginning of this process).


Android Devices

  • Make sure you are connected to myUNB WiFi.
  • Open the Google Play store.
  • Search for Nursing Central (make sure the developer is Unbound Medicine).
  • Select Nursing Central, then tap Install.
  • Launch the app and log in with your Unbound Medicine account (the one you created at the beginning of this process).


BlackBerry Devices

NOTE: Unbound Medicine no longer supports BlackBerry devices. If you only have a BlackBerry or BB10 device (including PlayBooks) the company recommends using the web interface of Nursing Central.


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty downloading and installing Nursing Central, please bring your mobile device to the information desks at the Hans W Klohn Commons and we will help you get it working.

If you are having problems with the app itself, please contact Unbound Medicine support.
